Once a notorious red-light district, the present Keong Saik Road of today is well known for the boutique hotels and authentic eateries. Which brings us to today’s post, Ember Restaurant located within Hotel 1929.

I happened to be looking for a nice place to celebrate a B’Day dinner with a good friend, and so happened chanced upon this restaurant in the IS Magazine.
Global Kitchen has an open concept, such that there isn’t a door. Hence literally you could just sit there for as long as you want or when the lights go off – which we were told about 12.30am

Lowly lit environment with tiffany lamps on each table makes it a rather nice ambiance to just sit down and enjoy the food and your partner’s company. However the seating space is rather limited so it may get a lil noisy and squeezy if the restaurant is fully packed. Continue reading
